Classes Robin Leggewie is a homeschool father who has a
heart for teaching children. Your student needs a notebook, paper, and pencils. Classes
composed of 5-15 students are forming now. Classes begin October 2 and run on
Tuesdays and Thursdays. Advanced Arithmetic (9:30-10:30
T/Th) This course requires no background in math, and will have your student
ready to begin algebra in four months. 2 one-hour classes per week. Recommended
for 6th grade and up. Algebra 1A. (10:45-11:45 T/Th)
This course is for the child who is ready to start algebra. Placement exam for
anyone who has not taken Advanced Arithmetic. Algebra 1B. (12-1
T/Th) Pre-requisite Algebra 1A or placement exam. Word
Problems. To be taken after Algebra 1A or 1B. Not offered this session. Price:
$180 total, 3-4 months. Mountains
Christian Academy students receive a discounted price of $160 ($40 per month).
Classes will run between 3½ and 4 months. Materials fee of $15 per course. These
courses are also offered at Excellence
in Education in Monrovia. (626) 821-0025. Algebra 1A and 1B begin October
1 and run on Wednesday and Friday in Monrovia. Call for information on Advanced
Arithmetic. Our specialities include science, math, and
French. Rates: $25 per hour in our schoolroom, $35 per
hour in your home in the Lake Arrowhead/Crestline area, higher if farther. Our
preference is our location down the street from Grandview Elementary School. Semi-private
tutoring $20 per hour. Science Classes: On hold, although
we are offering science hikes at this time, one per month. Children's
French class will be repeated Summer of 2004. High School French
beginning in September, using BJU Press French 1 and accompanying materials. Tutors: Robert
